The Youth Theatre programmes run on weekdays during term time for students aged 8 - 18 years in Musical Theatre, Acting and Technical Theatre skills. They promote positive participation and achievement for each member of the company through the application of acquired skills in a public performance.
The Musical Theatre Company work towards a fully staged musical on an annual basis which is performed on the main stage at Camberley Theatre at the end of the academic year.
The Acting Company work towards festival entry performances at Woking and Godalming Drama Festivals and individual/group examination work. Students are invited to the 'In The Spotlight' showcase at the end of the academic year.
The Technical Crew are guided through the backstage elements including lighting, sound and stage management. These students are invited to work on the Academy shows at the end of the Academy year.
The Wednesday Advanced Skills Workshops are aimed at those looking to go into theatre training and auditions, or those looking to gain additional qualifications, some with UCAS point accreditation, with nationally recognised examinations boards. These students are usually 16+ years.
Adult Fitness classes include Adult Tap, Adult Musical Theatre and our Ballroom and Latin American Dance run as short courses.
The Saturday Academy classes run each week during term time for students aged 4 - 14 years.
Performance classes in dance, drama, musical theatre and singing last for one hour and students have a variety of performance opportunities throughout the year and a whole school showcase at the end of the academic year.
1:1 sessions are available upon request. These are for students who are preparing for examinations, auditions for drama school or to boost self-confidence in interview/public speaking. We run 1:1 30 minute tutorials in Dance, Drama, Speech and Performance, Presentation Skills and Singing.
